The $100 should be somewhat of a factor, right? You also have the Hint to consider now too.

My brother went through 3 versions of the blackberry before giving it up for the iphone. he did not say why he did not like it but was happy with the iphone. I got the finesse mainly because the bb experience of my brother.  so far with the one exception of wanting to throw my phone at the wall i have been very happy. only problem i have had. was the battery life.

a way for me to counter this is the fact i have an inverter in my car. so it stays charged.

one other problem is i ran in to a tree while jogging. cause i was surfing the web. always watch where your going while using the finesse

Ok good to know. The Curve has much more support, like a radio station and autoupdate with myspace messages and so on.

However, the Finesse is brand new and Samsung phones in the past (Instinct) are shown to be hackable. I think the touchscreen of the Finesse and the potential to be an iPhone competitor with proper support from users and the no contract leans that way.

My big anti-Finesse suggestion is to wait for a Metro phone that has wifi or longer battery life. Or get a 9" netbook with a voip service provider.

I was also thinking about getting the Curve, and was debating back and forth about which one to get, but the main selling point for me was the fact that the curve will only work in MetroPCS legacy markets, i.e texas, miami, Bay area, So. Cal. No AWS means no support for the enhanced network, which means no access to service in over 300+ cities. This seems like bs to me, since you still have to pay $50 a month, and have limited coverage. They should subtract $5 off the plan since theres no enhanced roaming option like the others.  Angry

I got some hands-on time with the hint today...im not very impressed, the diamond-shaped keys are kind of a nuisance, and the response time is a little slow, typical of motorola handsets. Hopefully the new moto touch screen will be a little faster   Undecided

I was between the two phones as well and after having some playtime on the Finesse, I switched to the Finesse.. If I were you, I would see if you could play with both phones. Luckily someone in my office got it the day before I got mine so I was able to play with it.
