The Red Oak of Iowa Chamber and Industry Association constitutes of a number of committees among which one is the Housing Committee.

Housing Committee is a standing committee of the Association. The committee serves as a forum and recommends various policies and procedures related to housing and provide recommendations to the Board. It also solicits input from housing stakeholders from the public and private sectors. They help to build the capacity for adequate, affordable and accessible housing through progressive services, leadership and developing lasting relationships to enhance quality of life for all citizens by guiding the implementation of affordable housing. An unlimited number of members of the Association constitute the Housing Committee. One member becomes a member of the Board. The President of the Association appoints the Chair. To provide adequate, affordable and accessible housing that responds to the diverse needs of all residents is the vision of the Red Oak Chamber and Industry Association. The underlying principles are: Adequate housing- housing in suitable locations offering adequate space, amenities and quality to meet the needs of all residents of Red Oak. The other principle is Affordable housing – where housing is affordable within 30% of household income of all residents of Red Oak. The last principle is Accessible housing where housing is physically and economically accessible to all residents of Red Oak.

Ali Sharaf is the owner of the Red Oak Town Village Apartments which has contributed immensely to the economy of the Red Oak. His investment in these apartments has injected millions of dollars in the economy of the Red Oak. He is also the President and CEO of Victron Energy.
