OK so in order for us to even get close to playing java games or running java apps we first have to convert it to BREW since our phone does not support JAVA.

So our phone is loaded with Qualcomm BREW.

I've heard of a program called Xpress Suite. Which claims to be able to input your own Java jar file and output it to C++ to do the same in Brew.

The problem is that the program isn't out to release to everyone. There is a free trial but the free trial program only supports the Java to cocoa touch(Used in the iPhone and iPod touch) converter.

Im sure if i send a formal email i get a trial of that specific converter, can anyone help me set up a formal email to send? I'm sure this program could really help us out!

There is also this, called Sophia.

I'm wondering if we should focus on hacking the phone first instead of how to port apps. Because we won't know if the app actually works with the Finesse or not till then. Hmm.

Problem with that is we don't know how to start lol. We need to get into that filesystem...

I've already posted in other forums at off topic sections mentioning this website and for some advice or help and the most I gotten was codes for hidden menu's . None of them work for the FINesse Sad

Well....

To put your own BREW apps on a cell phone means you have to be a BREW developered, signed up with Qualcomm. Its basically like the iPhone Dev thing, except its harder to get into.

How did people mod other BREW phones then? We need to follow their footsteps?

Merman123,
Now that we have the filesystem, what can we do?

Look at the Motorola Razr community. I have several programs that access the Razr file system.

The Razrs and other CDMA Motorola phones could have Java on it, because other CDMA carriers that use Java had leaked flashes, so they could have Java.

Yeah, I have a Spy Patrol thread for people who want to post what they find from other communities. Plus the scary similar phone threads.
