Like the phone though im starting to realize all the limits it has. I disconnected my treo a while ago and thought this phone would meet its standards at least but its making me miss the treo a little. Im killing this battery pretty fast! I charge it up 2-3 times a day and thats with moderate use

No worries we notice it too! Mine is on the charger twice a day. Other phones, like my Hue is charged every other day or 3 with heavy use.

i pretty much keep the power adapter with me at all times and i charge it while in the car. at home at the casino at my friends house and at the store. when im jogging is when i must keep track of the power icon. and trees.

i actually charge it about 10 times a day.

strangely enough, i get about a day and a half of battery life, even with constant email, texting, and having MIM on at all times. I dont really talk alot on the phone tho, so that may be why i conserve battery life

I get a day, maybe two out of a charge.  Motorolas have always spoiled me in that regard.  I'd typically only have to charge the Rokr once or twice a week.

I don't see any larger capacity batteries on Samsung's website.  Only the standard lithium ion.

BT drains the battery like nothing I've ever seen. On the few occasions I've left it on, the battery drains in about 7 hours, with minimal talk and texting. A more powerful battery is definitely needed or a utility to sleep BT after a few minutes/hours of non-use. Of course, the timing should be user adjustable. I'd also like to have the ability to set the discovery time length.

Does the phone still drain as much battery with the bluetooth enabled but not connected to a head-set.  I use a JawBone 2 and it's pretty clever. It disconnects after some time out of range.

I think I am having a legit problem with the battery. I fully charged it before going to bed last night to ensure that my phone is not out of battery when I need the alarm to wake me up. I waited before falling asleep (which got me really frustrated) to disconnect my phone from my charger. The alarm worked like a charm but I noticed that my battery had one bar of life left. This was literally 8 hours later and no use of my phone whatsoever. I don't know why. Can someone help me out?

When I first got the phone, I drained the battery COMPLETELY so the phone just shut off, 4 times to help train the battery. (Co worker suggested it, I know they say do it once or twice, but he said something about gaining 20% better life.  I had nothing to lose so I just did it)

I usually only have to charge my phone one to two times a day.  And I use my phone as my MP3 player on the train back and forth to Boston every day.  I also text a lot.  Don't make that many phone calls or use the web all that much.

I also shut off Blue Tooth (I don't use the ear pieces) and the vibrate function on the touchpad to save battery life.  I basically shut off or turned down anything that would put more drain on the battery.  Seemed to help a little bit.

I did just get an extra battery on Ebay for 8 dollars.  Grin  Just incase.

a 3.5 hour talk time is about average. especially for a 1000mah battery
my ocean had the same rating with a 1300 battery.

i text heave and constantly check e-mail with the occasional call and only need to charge once a day. when i use it like an ipod it still lasts nearly all day (and by day i mean at least 14hours)

I charge less than once a day, I learned some tricks with ipods and similar devices in the past

1. Turn off touch response (the vibrating nonsense)

2. Dim the backlight as much as you can (level 1) and set backlight time to 10 seconds, after about two minutes you wont notice the dim light at all

3. Also, draining your battery fully to avoid the memory effect has never failed me

Hope this helps!
