Don't quote me, but this may need to be a "hack"...  And I know that some stations have their own customized, developed software that work on the iphone, but they use JAVA and we're stuck with BREW so...

(Luckily, I don't really listen to the radio so this isn't something I'd really be looking for)

I do know they have streaming video blocked (MetroPCS - youtube)so that may encompass streaming audio as well.  But I'm not 100% certain.  I could see MetroPCS doing some corny stuff like that.

Sasha, hold on while I expand on a tidbit.
Mostly you are right, however there are some youtube videos that play. We haven't looked into the specifics, since we're doing this at approximately 56k speeds and that would take weeks to pull off with any feedback.

Now, Sasha, you bring up a good point - we need to check out streaming audio. Could you do this? First, go to your radio's website and try to see if there are alternative ways, specifically a link to an audio server. If not, let me try to find you an example (alternative) so you can try to find something similar.

I am also creating a topic based on this one. It's possible the phone and it's multitasking abilities may be more than we previously thought.

[edit]Here, try this SHOUTcast radio link (Groove Salad) from your Finesse. If it works, you can stream radio.

It was a test. PLS is a list of links to audio streams. The Finesse cannot natively handle them then. See for yourself by retesting the link on a pc with VLC or Winamp (or similar) installed.
