I've tried to set up my accounts but it doesn't work, it always says "Please check your account information and try again"...frustrating.....anybody knows if there is any trick to set this up? i called metro and they told me i should have an account that i pay monthly, are they serious? Well any help would be more than welcome...Thanks.

You don't have the $50/mo Fin plan? Obviously you need service to use the phone (no wifi yet until we mod it with a wifi dongle. Shouldn't take too long.)

Anyways, pop3 has to be enabled on the account to link it to mail@metro. I've heard that yahoo! requires an account upgrade to do this, but a trick around that is to link it to a gmail account.

I really hate how all these webmail services are trying so hard to squeeze their users into some type of box. I can see yahoo and msn making a lot of people angry doing this.

Here's the FAQ that talks about this.

Have hotmail link to whatever email account it will accept, then have that account link it to gmail. Sounds FUBOR, but if it works, hey...
