Power save mode? Never heard of such thing.

How do you know your phone is in power save mode?

I get it all the time on my commute. When I am walking through Downtown Oakland I get decent reception. When I go down below into a Bart station, it says something like "Entering Power Saver". When the train goes above ground it leaves power save mode.

I have never been able to get reception with Metro in a few places in the SF Bay Area, regardless of phone. Like underground Bart stations (dir), Target at Bayfair and while crossing the San Mateo Bridge.
With my Fin I now get reception in the Posey Tube. w00t!

All you need to do to get your phone from power save mode back to normal is to take off the back cover of your cell phone every time you get that power save mode on. It works for me. take the cover off, keep the battery on and look at your phone to see if the power save mode went away. it works for me every time....
