i'm just checking if anybody else has tried to watch a video from youtube on there finesse and failed as i did... i'm guessing it's not just a problem with my phone, it's just not a supported file type for the phone... but if thats the case, i find that really really really weak!!! one of the major reason's i got a smart phone was to be able to do things like watch videos on youtube and listen to music on myspace... stuff like that but i can't... is there a way around this or am i just missing something to get all of this working? OR is this just how the Finesse really is?

thanks

the finesse sadly does not have the flash support to play youtube videos. im am sure they will update the fone or will be an updated model identicle to the finesse (same fone sum new tech) but untill then we will have to wait.....samsung was really weak for not giving this fone the cability to play videos off the internet.

ya that shit is weak as hell, so are there any updates yet for the finesse? like ones you could download and then just do the PC connection and update or somthin? cuz it seems kinda pointless to be a smart phone thats  not that smart you feel me? every other smart phone i've seen, can do that...

The Fin isn't a smartphone except to MPCS, so because they call it one are you going to? This is just a regular phone until we make it smart. And by 'we', I mean this community right here. Don't expect MPCS to do it till 2010 or never.

I don't know but my Fin Plays youtube, I go through a provider called Syringa.  I use m.youtube.com ... it does run super slow and sometimes after about a minute it doesn't play the full video due to the network dropping the internet.  But I can still get the shows.

@fireman;   Though the finesse is capable of playing mp4 video..streaming anything over Metros network isn't gonna happen anytime soon.   The network would prolly collapse if more than 2 people were streaming video at the same time.  Even the major carriers have trouble sometimes (cough...at&t) so it would be crazy to think Metro Pcs could handle that much data traffic.
