Here ya go folks... the Firmware and DLL for the Samsung SCH-R810!!! Non MetroPCS version... probably nTelos

Some info about the rar file...
BIN: The firmware its self. You can use SamsungPST to "flash" it to your phone.
DLL: Make the SamsungPST able to read and write the phone.
Notes: TONS of tech data about the R810... memory map, options, tech data, NVItems list.

PLEASE NOTE that flashing the BIN to your phone MIGHT kill it. I have used this version befor, and it does work!!!

Make a backup with SamsungPST under settings!!! <<~~~~MUST DO!!!

If you flash your phone with this BIN, you will lose WEB and MMS... i was able to get the WEB working, but was UNABLE to get the MMS working Sad

MAKE BACK UP OF YOUR SETTINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have been WARNED!!!!!!

http://www.mediafire.com/?tklatmznetm

This has not been brought to you all by me alone... others have helped, i will keep their names privet to protect the innocent...lol

WE NEED TO GET CRACKIN' ON THIS THING TO HACK THE FIN!!!!

UPDATE: 8-9-09

If you feel brave and want to flash your phone...PLEASE do this!!!!!
-Make a "settings" backup in SamsungPST
-Use SPST to flash the phone with "NORMAL with Backup/Rebuild/Restore" option under the software flasher. This "SHOULD" keep all your seetings, and put them back on the phone when its done flashing.

Mostly "quick links" for google, myspace, fandango...ETC. You click the widget and it opens the browser to that page.

Also pac-man, and bejewled games... the firmware does not come with them... you can download them from @metro, but i am UNSURE if they will work from the widget link once you download it.

Hi all,

I've been racking my brain with a way to watch youtube videos (or 3gp for that matter) with no prevail...

I'm debating whether or not flashing my phone with the new firmware is going to affect its performance...

For those of you that flashed the new firmware:

1) Were you able to restore audio/video messaging?
2) Were you able to sync your Fin with a pc (tasks/contacts/mail)
3) Were you able to tether your Fin to a laptop?
4) Were there any other advantages?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to help! As a group we can really learn from one another  Cheesy

 Huh

As I saw these Threads...
http://www.samsung-finesse.com/index.php?topic=828.0

Maybe better not use this Firmware? Or you could damage your R810.

AT YOUR OWN RISK!

At the moment it seems few important Repair steps are "unknown"...

Please correct me, if I'm totally wrong.

Best Regards

The firmware is fine. I had an issue with hitting the wrong buttons at the right time. The only issue is with mms.

There are way more settings on the reflash and I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. According to my key spy software i hit refurbish at some point which erased all or my info.

Also remember if you screw up, just get some sleep and then start over. Personally I function best between 8-28 hours of being awake. I was way past that.

I'm going to try and make a backup with SPST right now.

I don't think I'll be "re-flashing" my Fin at this point.  Once I get some updated firmware, then I'll work on re-flashing it.
