I go through one called "Syringa Wireless" its pretty much open for anything on the finesse.  The only issue is that brew is deactivated.

Noob here..I'll be getting the Finesse with Straight Talk provider..and looking to see if this phone is hacked..my guess is No from what I've read so far..? ..Or extremely difficult to install.

Is there a project website for the people trying to hack this phone..if there is any? Something like this http://blog.iphone-dev.org/ for the iPhone/iPod Touch..

Or I'm I even in the right thread to be asking such a question?

Also..how come there are no Youtube videos on how to do ANY of this stuff? I would think it would make it easier for everyone to follow than a bunch of replys that the user has to go through and read.

We haven't gotten to that point yet. No one has stepped up and taken the lead for "hacking". Even you as a "noob", if you have the time and resources you could.

Is this forum dead as far as trying to hack the finesse?  I might bring some needed help into this area.  I was an OTA programmer for METRO PCS for about 6-8 months.  So I know my way around the settings, etc.

My goal out of this?  I want java running on my phone so I can scrub brew and worrying about that crap.

So someone reach out to me and let's see what we can accomplish.  Thanks!

@ wxbuch

Thanx for contribute.  Cool

BUT JAVA to run on R810 is nearly impossible.
JAVA Virtual Machine is an BREW APP (better an BREW Extension).

There is NO way without BREW...

Known JAVA VM is only as static BREW App with several mandatory Extensions spread over the whole Firmware (AMSS).
NO chance to extract all parts and copy to other Firmware...

Example is Dare VX9700 and CX9700 from Telus... Compare those both available Firmware. Search simple for String JAVA...

Btw.:
I have now the DLL:
SamsungPST_SCHR810_MetroPCS_1.0.007.dll

But I wish I had the Installer *.MSI package. As I "need" the preinstalled BREW Apps...

Maybe you can help me. Then contact me via PM.
Maybe I have something for you.  Grin

Best Regards
