If this has already been done, please report your findings? I personally totally overlooked this because I was focused on other stuff. However, if this is a go, this makes the phone "competitive".

What I'm specifically looking for is seeing if the phone can parse web pls files and stream the audio from them.

Here is a good site with various bandwidths of streams. Try to get anything to play via your Finesse.

Probably. I'm surprised SHOUTcast doesn't work when others do, so I'm not 100% sure exactly what's going on.

I just see people who are trying to decide between the Fin and the BB lean towards the latter because of streaming radio. It never hit me that the Fin might be able to as well. This proves that the Fin has at least limited support.

So it plays "complete" files, but it may not play certain stream protocols such as shoutcast. I know it's possible to leave a writing mp3 open on a server that lets clients read it, but I think that's archaic now.

Unfortunately, the Fin most likely plays the file after it successfully completes the download, which is not streaming. We need to verify based on all protocols, but that may be beyond our community abilities.
