For those of you who seem to be missing art, this should help. Although this is not specifically an issue with the Fin, it is aggravating. The problem seems to stem from the fact that the mp3 tag does not have "cover art" added to the song data. I've used both iTunes and WMP to update the tag info, which should add the cover art to each song, by searching their specific databases of music, but this does not always work. Here's the workaround, compliments of the folks at the Networked Media Tank forum using Mp3tag.

The link to the forum discussion:

Mp3tag (freeware) download for Windows:

http://www.mp3tag.de/en/download.html

Install the app, run and point it toward the folder were you have the songs. If you're using the microSD card to store your songs on the Fin, just point it to the "My_Music" directory.

Remember, you do not have to individually tag each song with a cover. You can group the whole album and mp3tag will update each song. This will still take some time, though Mp3tag does have the ability to search for tag info, using freedb, updating the songs with the album info and cover. As with WMP and iTunes this does not always work, so you may have to search for specific album covers. You can do that here:

http://albumart.org/

Just save the image as "folder.jpg". Start up Mp3tag and select the songs within an album as a group, right click on the selected items and select "extended tags...". On the right is the cover art. Click on the top button, "Add cover...", browse to the image you previously saved and select "OK". Mp3tag will proceed to update the cover for each song selected. Sweet!

Now just upload songs to the music folder of your Fin, if you had the songs on your pc, and you'll be good to go.

If you're running another op sys, search the web. There are many progs that do essentially the same thing that will work for your machine (Linux, OS/2, Mac).

Btw, I've never not been able to find a cover using this site, but should you be unsuccessful here, just google "album art" and you'll be presented with a plethora of sites that might work for you.

How do I upload the songs to my fin? Alcohol plus trying to do stuff doesn't always work. I added the album art in MP3 tag, hit save tag. Now what? I'm doing this directly to my my SD card.

Okay... I couldn't get it to work... I fail at life.
