That was easy to figure out. The steps that is. What's not so easy is the continuing fact that the vid is still shutting off after ten minutes. Have roughly 25% storage left on a 2gb MSD after saving the file, so storage is not the problem.

I was thinking that there may be a motion sensor that detects inactivity after a predescribed number of minutes and shuts it down, though that would be counterproductive in some circumstances, especially if the setting could not be modified. Not much in camcorder settings that would effect this type of situation.

Time for some serious research.

i can only record 10 min on a 8gb,why cant it be longer?

Click on recording mode on the camcorder screen, and press normal mode, this allows you to record up to ten minutes.

Not sure what you're talking about. I know how to select the type of storage.

I'll try it again with another 8gb card.

the memory card might be formatted with another phone? maybe thats why its not showing up? My problem is i already knew that u can record longer videos, but i want to record in Vid Message because metro PCS or not u can send Vid messages to youtube and it uploads it to your youtube site, then link it with facebook or w/e but theres that tricky 15 second bs and its making me mad lol im lazy i rather just send it than save it to hard drive and upload it...lame, any idea?
