i've been exploring all of these menus, the only part i havent reached is:

Quote
Unknown Menu #1
1. Menu
2. Settings
3. Black Button
4. Generic User Code
5. HDR Setting (6.)
6. Black Button
7. 10 Digit Lock Code #1 (Not the MIN)

      [2]

How do I access this part of the menu where it prompts for the 10-digit?

I searched Google, and I see two things going on, phone related.
1. Nokia phones with a 10 digit master code, instead of a 5 digit one. No dice. (I tried a Nokia 10 digit code generator. While oddly it spat out a Nokia code with the first 15 digits of my MEID, it didn't work.)
2. Nokia uses something called DCT, and generations. It's a long shot, but this code could be based on DCT4 technology. Only lead I got right now.

I'll keep looking!

[edit]Something fun that I've noticed is that some Samsung wifi devices use a 10 digit code. Let's just pretend that this is a secret wifi lockout menu.

Update on the 10 digit lock out!

I just got off the phone with Samsung. It seems that any lock out code for the Finesse was made by Metro PCS (a level 2 tech didn't even know where to start to go about getting it). We know what to do now, and please avoid using the word "harass" when on the phone with Metro PCS. Cheesy

BREW Settings
1. Menu
2. Settings
3. Top Right Arrow x6 times to the right (@Metro)
4. Hit Dial Key
5. Enter User Code
    BREW Settings Map
    [1]?
    [2]...

Change Prepay to no in BREW settings and get free @metro apps. Wink Works on every MetroPCS phone. Use QPST to if it doesn't work.

How do you change the prepay status using QPST? I can't seem to locate the setting. Thanks

Finally on same level where you guys are at, I totally didn't understand "blackbutton" - figured it out as the voicecommand side button.

Anyways I found this off mobile files dot com: http://samsungtuning.free.fr/service_manual/
A huge listing of service manuals in pdf format.

I found this 10-digit code... can't remember where I put it. I'll post it later.

Once you get to this part, try this 10-digit code: 8886573982 - this 10-digit is from an R450 hacking manual off mobile files dot com. I have yet to try it though..

I tried that code already, along with about 5 others. No luck yet. I think a good way to get it is to talk to the right tech at MPCS, but that's only going to happen by everyone here calling them. We still may have to hack the Fin to get it.

I see you live close by. The browser is full HTML compliant, sort of, but it by no means can be considered a full browser. For that to happen, it needs Java support. We are working to unlock that now. I suggest you get your phone specific SPC code and write it down. As soon as someone gets test mode enabled on their Fin, it won't be long till we all get there. Then we just need a java platform installed. From there, we have a plethora of good browsers available for you to choose from.

UPDATE:

Probably the most important code a hacker can know on a phone...
"The Emergency Download Mode"
In this mode you can flash new firmware to the phone if is almost a brick... like bootcycle, etc  Roll Eyes

Its actually a button combination to get it to EDM

DO NOT TRY THIS IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO!!!!!!!!!

With the phone off: Press the Volume Down Key + the Black Voice key + Power Key
It should start in EDM...

Confirmed working!
