You can't change the prepaid option with the code alone. You'll need, as the poster stated, QPST. It's a service app developed by Qualcomm. Google it, download it and pray you don't nuke your phone. Thank God neither MPCS or Qualcomm hosts this site...

Niceman, is there a way to totally reset this phone?  The reset feature in the security menu does nothing.  I need a hard reset option.  I spent 1.5 hours on the phone with Metro and got nowhere.

Thx.

This is for someone who knows what to do. Either a MPCS employee, a Samsung employee, or a knowledgeable phone modder. I'll edit the starting post to reflect that.

One thing I do suggest for absolutely everyone. Go into these menus and write down all your settings. You might learn many things about your phone just by doing this, and you won't be breaking it. If you do this though, stay away from any item that says words like "reset".

OK bY DOING ALL THIS WHAT MENUS DO YOU COME UP WITH?? Can you download various mobile web applications to this phone? That was my main concern and I can't get an answer to this question no matter whom I speak tooo at the store and I even tried the online help support with samsung as well as metro pcs. Basically, they just want me to purchase the product but it's so expensive and I'm not trying to buy something I can't use just got burnt for $250 for the 120gb Ipod and didn't realize I could use the applications on the ipod. I'm sick of all this crap... can you help me???

No worries. The fin is a delicate matter. There's a ton of work to be done, and it might take some time before it gets to be more like a smartphone.

Ok, running into 2 issues. Where do you get the 6 digit lock code? Also for another menu we need the 10 digit user code. Help!
