ok so we at first thawt that it was the phone that didnt support streaming video...turns out it was the service that needed to be updated...anyone who has gotten the phone in 2010 will have youtube cuz the new plan changed...


metro constantly changes plans n the new plan not only gives u youtube, it lowers ur monthly bill...
the new $50 smartphone plans include taxes so if nuthin else is on ur plan but the plan itself its a flat $50....it also has sumthin different from the old smartphone plan allowin streaming vids...so jus call up metro n ask to change ur plan to the new smartphone plan...it only takes a few mins to do...n twoilah!! u have mobile youtube along with other mobile sites that play vids

idk wat browser ur phone is but mine is 3.4 n i kno 3.5 works as well

if u dnt believe me jus do it n confirm! if it doesnt work u at least got a cheaper bill right? so thees nuthin to lose!

I just called a rep, one of the idiot types, and he couldn't confirm this. I think I'm going to call back lol.

Yes, all you need to do is tell Metro to put you on the i50 plan and it does work!

I could not believe it ,now if we could just get a few more things straight with this phone, I would finally be proud of it, but....

Since there is no 3g in my area, and I am not real happy with the phone selection, I am probably getting a Spring Palm Treo Pro from my work, and doing away with Metro.

OMG!!! IT WORKSS!!!!!! I suggest everyone call up Metro, and say, I have a Samsung Finesse and I want to switch to the new $50 smartphone plan. They ask you all the usual quetions, and when you hang up....turn off your phone, turn it back on, go to youtube...and BAM, you can watch videos. And to think I was about to get a Samsung Code, JUST for that reason!!  Grin

The reason you are getting youtube now is because with the $50 plan you got your firmware updated by Metro. The older Finesse phones couldn't use it but the newer ones could.

you don't need a new finesse though, I got my finesse back in october or september and I just called and said switch my plan, and BAM, lol, it worked

Are you serious?! wait! when i got my fin they said i had to get the 50$ plan and that was back in april when it first came out! but shouldent it be the same since im telling them to give me the 50$ plan?!

It works thanks guys, I am watching youtube videos on my finesse, I just called to metro PCS and that's it . I bought my finesse on august 2009.  My browser version is NF3.4

IT DOES NOT WORK I HAVE SPOKEN TO 3 REPS A TECH AND A SUPERVISER THEY ALL TELL ME THERE ARE FILTERS IN PLACE THAT DONT ALLOW STREAMING VIDEO OR YOU TUBE  CUZ METROS NETWORK DONT SUPPORT IT
