I don't know if any of you has bumped into this little piece of hardware.

http://www.cellularfactory.com/det.jsp?d=24342&c=204848

I wouldn't mind buying it, if you guys think that I might have a chance to make it work.  It does say to go to the Samsung website for the Fin drivers.....I haven't had luck with that.

What do you guys think???

You should already have the data cable and there are some options available to d/l the drivers. One is to get the MSD drivers. There is a thread on the site that contains a link to them]. It may be a sticky.

Another option is to d/l PC Studio and let it install them for you. The app does not currently work with the Fin, but does have the necessary drivers you need to access the phone as a MSD (Drive. Only with the sd card inserted, will not allow you to access the Fins internal memory. For that you need bt).

Some people will tell you not to plug the data cable into the pc until after thew drivers have been installed. Don't worry about. At some point windows will retry the install unless you specifically request it not to. Never had a problem, though if you're concerned about it, just unplug the cable until the app install is finished. Just make sure that a microSD card (and not the Mission Impossible Trilogy waste of time freebee. It's locked) is inserted in the Fin before you try to connect.

As for buying the data cable and drivers, save your money or give it to me...

Yes, the data cable comes with the phone, but the CD does not. I'm interested in seeing what app is on that thing.

This cable is used for transfering data from your samsung phone. the CD that comes with it are drivers to find your phone once it is connected. The Samsung Finesse gets detected right away. Unless you have an old computer the data cable that comes with the phone is just fine.

Right, but the decription talked about an included app that allowed you to update pics, music, contacts, and so on. Anyone know what app it is?
