As owners of the Samsung Finesse, we know that there is currently no installed flash player.  This is my biggest disappointment with this phone.  In speaking with Samsung tech support, {repeatedly} they first referred me back to MetroPCS, whom referred me back to Samsung.  Samsung admits there is no flash player nor are there any plans at this time to furnish us one.

Other than registering my concern with Samsung by email at Samsung.com in the "contact us" section, has anyone found a flash player that can be installed on this phone?

Yeah man ybom, xboxhacker, and co. are all trying to improve the Finesse experience for us. All these dedicated crackers and hackers need is time. Be patient and eventually they will fulfill the voids left by Samsung. BTW ybom if you ever need a spokesman, I'm your man!  Grin

Go market us on youtube and dailymotion, lol.

And I don't hold Samsung at fault for any of the issues we're running into. It's all because of the carriers.

Yeah you're right Metro holding out on us. But I dont get why they'd do that. I mean wouldnt allowing all of that be a positive?  So the consumers dont head like lemmings to the iPhone because of youtube and th like. Oh well

It is very cool that people are willing to share with each other here ways to make the Fin better for everyone.

I'm wondering if when you guys do figure out a way to get flash player on the phone, will a person without any technical skills be able to get it on their phone?  I know ybom you mentioned a manual or something somewhere... was it going to be something in lay terms?

Thanks again... Smiley

That's the exact purpose of the manual.

I've made it a bit more obvious now. Look in the "Featured Documents" subforum. I'm doing the Tech Manual now, and I'll be revamping that info for the Public Manual so anyone can learn.

I don't know if this will help or not, but thought I would give it a try. I found something called FlashLite for BREW phones on the adobe site. here's the link http://www.adobe.com/products/flashlite/brew/

Maybe someone will know what to do with it?  Could be a step closer to getting flash to work on the Finesse? Sorry if its the wrong place to post.

Unfortunately, that's still the BREW model. However, flash is on the phone but very limited in what you can do with it.
