OK
-First thing you will notice is the startup animation is different. Samsung instead of MetroPCS

-Next you will find you have gone back to the default wall papers. Mine went to the ocean view.

-Under widgets there will be actual games

-if you just did the flash and nothing else you will still be able to call and text. that is all until you enter some settings

-I entered all the web settings for the web and many others. there are several more settings than the standard metro flash. enter what you have from your backup file. I entered them manually, but I suppose you could use SamPST.

I would reccomend disconnecting from your computer after flashing and/or transferring your settings. Somehow I managed to reset my phone and that isn't something you want to happen at this point.
The only advantage at this point is having the software to start with.Which I should be making some progress with over the next week if xbox hasn't already beat me to it.

OK, time to answer a few questions.

With the re-flash you can get the web working. I was able to successfully use DUN connection although it is slow as all hell.
Backing up via SPST is no problem at all. You can use this at any time and I reccomend frequent backups if you are going to mess with things.

I used my old settings to write my address book.
There are many more options on the new software that you do not have on the metroFlash.

As well the bejewled widget did run once downloaded. didn't try pac-man
the other widgets are direct links to web sites...they are very handy. All of them do need to be enabled from SPST. once enabled you can activate/deactive as usual.

Camera/Video/media player
these features work exactly the same. even if you mess up the settings you can use them no problems.
E-mail
mail@metro becomes remo mail not sure what that is from. anyway i didn't explore this as I don't have a suitable throw away e-mail setup.

Icons
most of the icons change and will look weird for a while. i got used to it in a few minutes.

other than that don't be "scurred" to poke around. I actually need to use all the features so i did get a new phone. after some exhaustive studying of the new flash. I used the warranty this time because I just didn't want to spend $85. If I haven't made any progress in a reasonable amount of time I'll lose my phone or something.

I hope some of this information helps out. the flash is posted on the site so don't be afraid to check it out for yourslef. if done right you will still be able to call and text which is 90% of what most people do.

OK, time to answer a few questions...
Sorry, forgot about this topic due to things. Anyways, I need to know if I can backup exactly what I have now and put it back to "pristine" after I mess around with flashing, including MMS and GPS. I'm willing to test this out further if you give a thumbs up to my needs. Maybe I'm being too cautious :S

I am being very cautious as well, but I am growing very tired of the Metro firmware.

If I knew I had more funds, this would have already been done. I really wish I could throw it to the wind and get it flipping done. I totally feel your grr.
